Shipping & returns

Everything is printed to order, packed by hand and sent tracked. Here is exactly what to expect.

When your order is sent

Prints are made to order, so please allow 5–7 working days for printing, signing and packing before your parcel is posted. Books and anything held in stock are usually sent within 2 working days. You will get an email with a tracking number the moment it goes.

How prints are packed

Unframed prints are interleaved with acid-free tissue and sent rolled in a heavy-duty tube. Rolled prints will want a day or two flat under a weight before framing. Your local framers should be able to help with this.

Customs and import charges

At present I cannot ship to the EU.

Orders going outside the UK may attract import duty, VAT or a handling fee in the destination country. These are set by that country, are outside my control, and are payable by you. Parcels are declared honestly, at the price paid, as required by law — I cannot mark an order as a gift or under-declare its value.

Changing your mind

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you may cancel an order within 14 days of receiving it, for any reason, and you then have a further 14 days to send it back. Tell me through the contact form and I will confirm where to send it.

Return postage is yours to pay unless the item was faulty or wrongly sent, and the print must come back unused and in the condition it arrived, properly packed. Once it is safely back I will refund the full price, including the standard outbound postage, within 14 days and by the same method you paid.

One exception: anything made to your specification or clearly personalised — a bespoke size, a custom frame, a commission — cannot be cancelled once work has started, because it cannot be resold. Standard limited-edition prints from the shop are covered by the 14-day right. This does not affect your legal rights if something arrives faulty.

Damaged, faulty or lost

If a parcel arrives damaged, please photograph the packaging as well as the print and send me the pictures within [7] days. I will replace it, or refund you in full, whichever you prefer, and I will pay the postage both ways. If tracking shows a parcel has gone astray, get in touch and I will chase the carrier and put it right.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. Nothing on this page limits that.

A note on colour

Screens vary, and no two show a photograph identically. Every image here has been prepared carefully, but a print is a physical object and will always differ a little from a backlit screen. That is not a fault — though if a print is genuinely not what you expected, the 14-day right above still covers you.
